Founders Comms is a new strategic communications and policy advisory firm, working with the most exciting founders, startups, scaleups and venture capital investors, at every stage of growth.

In an ever more complex stakeholder landscape, strategic communications is critical for disruptive founders and companies. Done well, comms will enhance a culture, build conviction in a product, shape the regulatory environment and generate excitement.

We are building a team of ex-startup operators and advisors - who have deep experience working with early-stage/high growth companies - to provide our clients with earlier access to senior comms and policy expertise.

Director

We are looking for an experienced corporate communications strategist, ideally with leadership experience within a startup or an advisory firm within this market. As part of the founding team, this person will be excited and driven by the prospect of helping the business to grow and will become an integral member of the senior team - advising clients, winning new business and scaling operations. 

Working closely with the co-founders you will:
  • Develop strategic communications plans that support clients’ commercial objectives and their scaling strategy.
  • Reliably execute on these communications plans, and be accountable for results.
  • Have experience working across a broad range of stakeholder groups, including customers, the media, policymakers, investors, as well as internal audiences, such as employees and boards.
  • Play a key role in supporting the new business pipeline, developing relationships, proposals and converting leads.
  • Support the development of business operations as the company scales.
The candidate will:
  • Be able to demonstrate strategic and commercial experience.
  • Have a strong track record of delivery and results.
  • Be a sound media and political operator with close relevant contacts.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be well connected within the startup ecosystem.
  • Be excited by the opportunity to help grow a new company.
  • Be a self-starter who can spot opportunities, both for clients and the company.
